[Zessica sat on the hill outside the school building listening to what her friend was saying. Everyone else had left ages ago, but she really had nothing better to do, and even this beat spending the afternoon alone in her dorm room.

Stifling a yawn, she shifted her position so her leg wouldn't fall asleep as she managed to still seem somewhat attentive to Andy's ramblings. A loud yell from him, however, snapped her back to full alert. She blinked then spoke, cutting him off.]

Are you actually serious about this? I'm not exactly sure how parachutes are going to help you out here.

No! [He struck a pose with his finger pointing dramatically upward.] The parachutes are integral to this plan! [Which she would know if she were listening. Maybe he wasn't clear enough. He had to allow for the fact that, sometimes, awesome ideas take a while to digest. Still, Andy pauses to scrutinize Zessica with a sidewards look.] Weren't you listening?

[zessica]

I was sort of. Kinda lost focus around the part with the gummi bears, though. You're making things way too complicated, Andy.

[She can't help but shrug. This time, his enthusiasm isn't that contagious.]

Have you even asked Amata for help with this?

[brosb4holes]

[The gummi bears are important too! How else will they randomize the selection?]

I'll need his help later when we're setting up, but right now we need someone who can make the girls agree to the plan.

[zessica]

And you think that's going to be me, don't you?

[Zessica raises a brow in question. If Andy honestly thought--

Nevermind. She knew he probably did, and continuing to ride that train thought would lead to nothing but headaches.]

[brosb4holes]

Of course! [Of course he did. Zessica was a girl, and girls stuck together, right? Even that one time when they invited Mikono over, Zessica and Yunoha joined in...

Well, so did Cayenne, but that really didn't mean anything. Andy already knew that Cayenne didn't think like a guy should.] Who else can I ask? Mikono's too new, Yunoha's too quiet, and Mix wouldn't allow it at all!

[There's a pause... Andy presses his hand against his hat and rubs it up and down.] I guess Bianca... but I don't really think she'd be all that interested in boys and girls together...

[zessica]

Should I feel flattered or insulted? I'm not sure if I'm the first or last choice here!

[She's kidding of course, and it clearly shows in her smirk as she continues.]

My influence is pretty good around this place, but you haven't said what's in it for me~

[brosb4holes]

What's in it for you..? [He looks like this shouldn't even be a question.] Ehhh, shouldn't that be obvious already, Zessica? I mean, aren't you always talking about doing things with the guys?

[zessica]

[And that is what finally gets a reaction out of her. She leans forward, clearly taken aback.]

Excuse me?? I am not always talking about that! If anything, that's you!

[brosb4holes]

Me? [Of course not. He lifts an eyebrow and waves off her indignation and accusation.] With all my clever knowledge to do with holes, that can't be true.

[Completely unperturbed.] Anyway. The point is that if you help, you can also rig the contest to end up with whomever you want! How's that sound? [He leans in to give her that conspiratorial nudge-nudge, wink-wink.]

[zessica]

I'm not sure if I'm more insulted by the fact that you're so oblivious or that you'd think I'd cheat like that! [Whether it's true or not has nothing to do with it. :|||||]

How about I rig it so you end up with whomever I want, huh? [Shove!]

[brosb4holes]

[C'mon, Zessica, we both know it's true. And we both know who.

He lets the shove roll him over to his side and laughs.] That depends on who you have in mind. I've already been on a date with the green cat, so not that, okay?

[zessica]

You mean with Yunoha... and the cat. I was thinking more along the lines of [insert name of baghead girl here]. You'd talk enough for both of you!

[She does smile, though.] I'll think about it.

[brosb4holes]

You will?! [He uprights himself, looks Zessica in the eye, and grabs her hands! Her "I'll think about it" may as well be a yes with that response.] Man, this will be great!

[zessica]

Andy, let go of me, please. [Trying to keep the smile off her face now, yup. Must seem serious!]

[brosb4holes]

[No effort to appear serious here; he's just seriously grinning from ear to ear!] Okay, but remember, you're in on this too now. [Rather than letting go, Andy squeezes Zessica's hands even tighter.] Once we enter the hole, there's no turning back!
